A large scale painting depicting the traditional philosophies associated to the seven human senses. The Dharug word for intuition and energy is 'Oolgna' and is located just behind the belly button. It is considered the most important thinking area, rather than western understandings that comprehend the main brain being the head area. Often described as a gut feeling, the intuitive centre is a reliant and valuable sense in health, healing, general awareness and protection. It has guided us over millions of years within survival and has kept us safe. Oolgna is a sacred space of deep connection with self and the environment - it enables us to see and understand the world in which we live. It is an evolving space which houses our deep feelings and longings. Everchanging and adaptive, always present as an alert system of self-awareness and self-discovery.
